Builds are currently unsigned. On Windows, SmartScreen asks you to confirm the first launch. On macOS, if Gatekeeper blocks the app, remove the quarantine flag from Terminal:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Texpile.app
To compile PDFs, bring your own TeX distribution (TeX Live, MiKTeX, or MacTeX). Editing works without one.
